Mr. Oluseun Ayotope Lawal is a Marketing Expert, Consultant, Economist and Scholar at Lehigh University, Pennsylvania. Born in Nigeria, ‘Seun as fondly called, is a pioneer First Class graduate of Economics from Covenant University, Nigeria and also holds a Masters degree in Economics from University of Lagos, Nigeria.
Joined Heineken International Operating Company, Nigerian Breweries Plc., in 2007 as a Management Trainee and upon confirmation, worked briefly in Research Department before moving to core marketing where he drove the commercial agenda of several brands including Gulder, Legend, Williams, Turbo King, “33” Export, Maltina and Malta Gold as he rose through the ranks. ‘Seun is the brain behind several innovations and trail blazing experiential marketing activations including the launch of the Largest Poster in the World by Gulder, Gulder Ultimate Search seasons 6 to 11, Celebrity Showdown, brand partnership with Big Brother Naija, Corporate Elite, Felabration, Nickfest amongst others. ‘Seun helped to grow Gulder to the 2nd largest beer brand in Nigeria, Maltina to the biggest Malt Brand in Nigeria, shaped mainstream coverage of 51% outlet universe to deliver 70% of the total market volume for Nigerian Breweries Plc. during the period.
Moved to Heineken Operating Company, Brasseries Du Congo, in Central Africa in 2021 as the Trade Marketing Manager to support the implementation of a decentralized marketing and sales structure, driving consumer and customer engagement along the route to market, especially in on- and off-trade channels. ‘Seun streamlined the PiCOS (Picture of Success) strategies of the Nigeria and Congo operations in focus Channels whilst developing a winning channel strategy.
‘Seun is a seasoned marketing professional, with all round experience across communications development, brand management, strategic media planning and buying, innovations and renovations, category development, channel management and strategic business planning. He is a Member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) and National Institute of Marketing Nigeria (NIMN).
‘Seun is currently a Partner at Radaur Realty Group & Consultants, Kenya and Grande réflexion Limited, Nigeria. He is also on sabbatical at Lehigh University, Pennsylvania, USA, specializing in Business Analytics.
